Highway to hell - ac/dc AC/DC es un grupo de hard rock con alternaciones de blues rock, formado en Sídney, Australia, en 1973, por los hermanos escoceses Malcolm y Angus Young.1 2 Sus álbumes han sido vendidos en numerosos países, con un total estimado de 200 millones de copias,3 4 5 embarcándose en giras multitudinarias por todo el mundo, y sus éxitos han musicalizado varias producciones cinematográficas sobresalientes.6 7 8 9 Son famosas sus actuaciones en vivo, resultando vibrantes y exultantes espectáculos de primer orden.10 11 Mucho de ello se debe al extravagante estilo de su guitarrista principal y símbolo visual, Angus Young, quien asume el rol de agitador musical gracias a sus dinámicos y adrenalínicos despliegues escénicos uniformado de colegial callejero.12 13 En un principio, los circuitos de pubs australianos fueron testigo de los primeros meses de vida del proyecto, tiempos por los cuales sufrieron diversos cambios en su alineación.14 15 En 1974, la llegada del cantante Bon Scott, se convertiría en pieza clave del éxito del grupo. En 1976 incursionarían por primera vez fuera de las fronteras australianas con High Voltage y Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, discos minimalistas de básico rock, que ofrecían un contrapunto sonoro a las ampulosidades y la fastuosidad de las bandas que triunfaban en el mercado de la época.20 21 22 Ese mismo año se trasladaron al Reino Unido, de donde procedían los Young. Desembarcaron en pleno auge del punk rock, y en poco tiempo obtuvieron una enorme aceptación del público, ocupando inmediatamente los primeros puestos en ventas con discos como Let There Be Rock (1977) y Powerage (1978),23 24 25 que contaba con el ingreso del nuevo bajista Cliff Williams.

Sus integrantes son el vocalista Anthony Kiedis, el guitarrista Josh Klinghoffer, el bajista Michael "Flea" Balzary, y el baterista Chad Smith. El estilo musical de la banda fusiona el funk tradicional con elementos de otros géneros incluyendo el rap, pop rock, heavy metal, rock y punk.1 2 Son considerados los inventores del punk funk.3 Además de Kiedis y Flea, la formación original del grupo la completaban el baterista Jack Irons y el guitarrista Hillel Slovak. En las grabaciones de los primeros discos hubo diversos cambios en la formación, y sólo en The Uplift Mofo Party Plan (1987) coincidieron los cuatro miembros fundadores en el estudio.
